How much does SOA certification cost?
SOA certification fees are subject to a statutory minimum: the fee for certification activities is determined by applying the minimum rate established by law. It is calculated on the basis of the issued categories and classifications by the attestation body. CQOP SOA provides an online calculator for an immediate estimate.
Fee
The fee for certification activities is determined by applying the minimum rate established by law.
The fee is calculated on the basis of the categories and classifications actually issued.
Payment of the fee can be deferred.
How the fee is calculated
Table B, Part I, of Annex II.12 to Legislative Decree 36/2023
First qualification and renewal
The minimum fee due to the SOA for obtaining certification is determined with the following formula (Annex C part I of Presidential Decree 207/2010):
For 2026, the R coefficient is 1.550, as set out in ANAC Chairman’s Circular No. 7 of 1 April 2026
When all the requested classifications are I or II, a 20% discount applies.
Three-year review
Classification increase
Addition of a new category
SOA certification prices for first qualification and renewal
P “BASE FEE” = [C/12,500 + (2 × N + 8) × 413.16] × 1.0413 × R
SOA certification prices therefore depend mainly on two variables: the total amount of the qualifications requested and the number of categories.
Three-year review, increases and new categories
For applications following the first issue, the fee is calculated starting from the base fee.
P = CBna – CBva, where CBna is the base fee calculated for the new certificate and CBva the one calculated for the old certificate, always according to the base formula [C/12,500 + (2 × N + 8) × 413.16] × 1.0413 × R.
