How could the qualification system for companies evolve within the European public procurement market?
What opportunities and challenges lie ahead for Italian businesses?
These questions will be addressed during the Academy Day titled “From the Single Market of Public Procurement to European Single Qualification?”, hosted by CQOP SOA. The event is scheduled for Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 9:30 AM, at the CEOforLIFE Clubhouse Montecitorio, located at Piazza Montecitorio 116 in Rome. The event can also be followed via live stream.
International research for the future of qualification
The Academy Day will open with the presentation of the study “Completing the Puzzle of European Public Procurement Reform: Towards a European Qualification System for Economic Operators?”, conducted by CQOP SOA in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University, Politecnico di Torino, and Ghent University.
The research contributes to the debate on European public procurement reform, exploring the prospects of a common qualification system for economic operators and its potential implications for both the Italian and European markets. The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion bringing together representatives from institutions, regulatory authorities, academia, businesses, and trade associations.
This initiative reflects CQOP SOA’s commitment to promoting research and dialogue on the evolution of qualification systems and the future of SOA certification in a European context.
